Zimbabwe
Related to country: Zimbabwe

A few years ago the country i love so much was the envy of all African countries.Zimbabwe was the shining example of what a true emerging democracy should be. But now its a diffrent tale all togethere.

Life in Zimbabwe is very terrible for 3/4 of the population. Factories have closed as the economy has gone from bad to Pathetic. Unemployment is over 80% and inflation is at a record 3000%+, most people have resorted to growing food themselves, but the rains have not been good and millions are starving daily. The situation is so bad such that Fathers are "Pimping" there on daugthers and wives just so that they can bring some money to feed the families.

Life expectency is just below 35yrs, HIV AIDS i s killing people by the thousands every day and as sad it may be the hospitals are turning people away because there is a shortage of Doctors and basic Medication in the Hospitals. Basic items such as sugar, salt, bread, oil, petrol are most often not avalible in the shops.

People are being killed every day for expressing their support to the opposition MDC. The police force is now another organ of ZANU pf the illigetimate gorvening party.

This is Zimbabwe toady in a nutshell....

Rape, torture, unjustified imprisonment for members of the oppostion party, Human rights lawyers being imprisioned, the judiciary under the control of the state, the police force denying people the freedom to garther, inflation over 2000%, unemployment over 75%, people been made to use power for only 4hrs of the day, they is no basic medication in the hospital, therer is no fuel...This is the sad realty of Zimbabwe.

What really hurts me the most is that most Afriacn leaders continue to support the Evil, Dictator and power hungry Mugabe. This man has blood on his hands. The situation in Zimbabwe is at a crisis level.....and if it continues like this democracy in Africa will die....
